- Do you allow pets?
We do! Plaza 500 has designated pet-friendly floors. We do reserve the right to limit the type and number of pets per unit. We also require a pet security deposit of one half of a month’s rent.
- What utilities are included in the rent?
Hot water is included in the rent.
- Is parking or storage included in the rent?
Residential parking stalls and storage lockers are available for a monthly fee. For current pricing, please ask the rental agent.
- Do you have a charging station for an electric car?
Yes. We have an on-site charging station for the use of residents.
- Is there a place to store my bicycle(s)?
Yes. There is a secure bicycle storage room free for the use of residents. Personal bicycle lockers are available for a monthly fee. For current pricing, please ask the rental agent.
- Is there in-suite laundry?
Yes. All Plaza 500 suites are equipped with a washer and dryer.
- What are the concierge services offered?
Plaza 500 concierges assist residents with whatever needs pop up that are within their ability and mandate. Examples of services include: receiving deliveries and parcels; calling cabs; assisting residents with programming fobs and building access; taking requests for any service or repairs required in a suite; and general security, including checking the parkade.
- What are the concierge hours?
The Plaza 500 concierge is on duty 7 am to 7 pm, 7 days a week, including statutory holidays.
- How long is the lease for?
All Plaza 500 suites are rented as a fixed term 1-year lease. After the year is up, the new lease can be negotiated.
- How much is the security deposit?
The security deposit is half of a month’s rent, due at the signing of the rental agreement.
- Can I pay my rent with a credit card?
You can pay your rent by electronic transfer, PAD pre-authorized debits, or post-dated cheques.
- Do you rent furnished suites?
We do! For more information, please ask the rental agent.
- Can I have a BBQ on the balcony?
No. BBQs are not allowed on balconies.
- Can I smoke on the balcony?
No. Smoking is prohibited on the Plaza 500 property. This includes all balconies, suites, building common areas, anywhere else on the property and within six metres of any building openings.
- How old is the building?
While Plaza 500 was first constructed in the early 1970s, the entire building was gutted and rebuilt over 2015 and 2016, and is now home to 118 upscale studio and one-bedroom suites. The building has been fully renovated to meet City of Vancouver building code standards. You can expect to enjoy quiet, efficient comfort in your well-insulated new rental home.
- Can I sublease my apartment or list it on vacation-rental websites such as Airbnb?
